Baseball Nova Scotia has become a national leader in developing and offering programming to females who love the game of baseball. Traditionally a male dominated sport, female baseball in Nova Scotia and the rest of Canada have been growing in leaps and bounds in recent years. From development programs like Rally Cap, to high performance teams competing at the Baseball Canada National Championships, Baseball Nova Scotia has opportunity for all ages and skill levels!

There are many opportunities for girl's in Nova Scotia to enjoy the game of baseball! Keep an eye out for these awesome events and programs!
Every summer, Baseball Nova Scotia takes a day to celebrate girl's participation in baseball! Instructors have included Canadian National team athletes, former Toronto Blue Jays, and Nova Scotia provincial team athletes. Girl's get to come out to enjoy a day of high level instruction, fun with friends, and even leave with a few gifts!
We also hold Girls Baseball Camps throughout the province. Check out some opportunities below!

Baseball Nova Scotia will be hosting Female Baseball Tournaments for the 12U age level. This weekend is filled with skills development sessions and modified baseball games!

Every winter, starting in early February, the 16U Provincial team coaching staff run development camps for girls aged 10 -14. These camps are designed to introduce girls to more complex skill in a progressive and fun way to prepare them for the season. 2015 was a very exciting year for female baseball players in Eastern Canada! Grand Falls, Newfoundland organized the first ever Atlantic Canadian 14U Championship! Nova Scotia sent one team in 2015, and three in 2016 when the tournament was hosted in Bedford.
2017 participant information will be released soon. This is an event that no girl will ever forget!

Baseball Nova Scotia offers one of the best high performance female programs in the country. Teams compete at the National Championship in 16U, 21U, and Senior Women's events.
The 16U team competes in the 15U AA Bluenose League against boys all season in preparation for the National Championship in August. The Nova Scotia squad is a perennial contender, finishing in the top five in the country each of the past 6 years. These results include Bronze medals in 2011 and 2012. The team narrowly missed out on a Bronze in 2014 and 2016. The emphasis of the program is development while offering the top female players in the province to compete at a competitive level. The 21U program made its debut in 2016, with the inaugural Canadian Championship being held in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Nova Scotia defeated Ontario and British Columbia in the round robin, while narrowly missing out on a medal. This program offers females the opportunity to continue in high performance programming past the 16U level.

The Baseball Nova Scotia Umpires Division is actively seeking interested females to become umpires! There is no better summer job than getting to go to the field every night! Check out the BNSUD website or contact BNS Supervisor of Umpires, Blaine Gallant for more information!
Baseball Nova Scotia is actively seeking interested females to act as leaders within our programs! Baseball Nova Scotia will be conducting NCCP certification clinics in 2017 for females interested in coaching! More information can be found at our NCCP site!
