Jul. 15, 2025

Baseball Nova Scotia congratulates Dartmouth's Ty Doucette on being drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 10th round of the 2025 MLB Draft!

Ty grew up playing minor baseball for the Dartmouth Arrows, where he excelled as one of the top hitters in the province. This would lead him to making the BNS 13U, 15U, and 17U Provincial teams, as he represented the province on numerous occasions. He would later play for the Dartmouth 22U and Senior teams.

Ty quickly became recognized Nationally, as he would be selected to the Junior National team in 2021 and 2022.

Recently, he has been tearing up the college scene at Rutgers University, hitting .338 with a .970 OPS, 22 home runs, 103 RBIs and 21 doubles across 101 games of the course of two seasons.

Ty Doucette is a model athlete and person, and Baseball Nova Scotia couldn't be prouder of his accomplishments!
