2025 High Performance Coach Application - Women's Team
Baseball Nova Scotia is seeking Head Coach and Assistant Coach applicants for the 2025 Women's Team.
Timeline
November 20th - Head/Assistant Coach application request posted on BNS website
December 4th - Application Deadline
December 5th - Head Coach candidates contacted for interview
December 9th-12th - Interviews
December 15th - Process Complete (for Head Coach selection announced)
*Assistant coach selection may vary, depending on level of interest.
**Timeline may be adjusted depending on level of interest or unforeseen circumstances.
Qualifications
- Head coach must be Provincial Trained at time of applying (or in the process of completing)
- Assistant coaches must be Provincial Trained by May 1st (2025)
Required Submission Material
Head Coaches - Strategic Plan
- Background (Why do you want to lead this program? Why do you feel you are a strong candidate?)
- Proposed Calendar of Events (What are the key events you'd like to include? What is your practice to game ratio?)
- Team Selection Plan (How do you envision the tryout process being implemented? Will you be using sport science tools in evaluations? What is your philosophy in selecting athletes for this program?)
- Typical Practice Plan (What are the key parts to a typical practice? How will you design each practice? How does each practice fit into the overall season plan?)
- Communication Plan (What is your communication plan for athletes? What is your communication plan for parents?)
- Coaching Philosophy (What is your philosophy as it relates to the program you are applying for? How will you ensure this philosophy is reflected in the overall execution of the program?)
- Program Alignment (How do you feel BNS High Performance teams can better work together to ensure that each program is aligned?)
- High Performance and Club Alignment (How will you communicate with athlete's community club team? What role does this relationship have in ensuring the best development for the athlete?)
- Safe Sport (How will you ensure Safe Sport values are upheld within your program? What key steps will you take to create an environment and culture the protects all participants?)

- Baseball Experience (as a player, coach, volunteer, etc.)
- Background (Why do you want to be a part of this program? Why do you feel you are a strong candidate?)
- Coaching Philosophy (What is your philosophy as it relates to the program your applying for? How will you ensure this philosophy is reflected in the overall execution of the program?)
